Dentures

THINKING ABOUT HAVING A DENTURE?

Why have a denture?

  • Increase eating ability
  • Increase speech
  • Improve appearance

We provide you with the best care when it comes to your dentures.  We work closely with a local dental technician to work out the best treatment for you. Whether you require a full denture or a partial denture we are here to help you. There are different materials used to create your denture and talking with your dentist can help you decide which material is best suited for you.  We write you a letter to take with you on your consultation appointment with our local dental technician to help them create the best denture for your treatment.

The different types of materials are listed below:

Acrylic – this is the cheapest type of denture on the market and are quick to make.  If you lose another tooth it is easy to add to your existing denture.  This type of denture does not have a long-life expectancy compared with a metal based denture.

Metal Based (Cobalt Chrome) – this denture is the strongest and has the longest life expectancy on the market. Thus, it is also the most expensive.  They are less bulky then an acrylic denture and people tend to tolerate them more because of this.
